The project manager (PM) is responsible that the project is localized into the target languages.

Processes may vary from client to client and project to project. High level, the following process applies to the majority of projects:

  1. Developers send the files (source files and old translation of the files if available).

  2. PM Creates a baseline.
    1. PM or developers create the Rigi solution (.rigsln and .rigproj files) using the Solution Editor.
    2. PM creates the Passolo project, aligns it with existing translations. This results in a Passolo project with 100% translated files (if translated files were already available).

  3. A new update (set of adapted source files) arrives from developers.

  4. PM updates the .rigsln and Passolo project, generates translation bundles, and

  5. Developer (or PM) generates pseudo files with Rigi signatures.

  6. Developers update the test server with the newly generated pseudo locale.

  7. Developers or the documentation team takes Rigi screenshots.

  8. Agencies translate with the Passolo translator edition and the  Rigi addin for SDL Passolo.

  9. PM imports the bundles and generates target files.

  10. Developers store target files.

The steps that the project manager needs to take are described in the following chapters.
