Create a project in Passolo (.lpu) that contains all target languages.

  1. Open Passolo (Team Edition)

  2. File > New project

  3. Enter the settings:

    1. Provide a name for the LPU and click on Add Source…

    2. Select the .rigsln file as a source file that contains the project definition and the  Rigi addin for SDL Passolo as Parser.

    3. Select the source language – make sure that it is always has a locale, e.g. English (United States). Background information: if source language is not set to English (United States) Translation Memory connections and updates will not work for Translators

  4. Click OK

  5. Add the target languages. Please note: you need to add target languages one by one, but this is a one-time manual task when creating the project (LPU).

  6. Select Home > Create/update string list and set option all string lists in project

  7. Click OK

The string lists are created. The messages panel shows details about the parsing. In case of error and/or warning messages, please have a close look at them. They should provide information what the root cause of the error is.

Note

  • It might happen the source language list might have more strings than the target languages. The reason behind that is that the source might have strings that are not relevant for translation and these strings are automatically set to read only and are automatically filled with enUS translation (when generating the target files).
